The first collection of Fasihuddin’s coloumns Khama-Bajosh 2011 was launched at Quetta Press Club, Balochistan on Tuesday, 2013. The Deputy Speaker, Balochistan, Mr. Abdul Qadoos Bezinjo was the Chief-Guest. Member National Assembly Mr. Khalil Bhutto was the Guest of Honour whereas renowned scholar, novelist and writer Mr. Agha Gul (ex-Post Master General, Balochistan) presided over the ceremony. The launching ceremony was organized by the Quetta Writers Forum, Progressive Writers Association, Quarterly Harf and Literary Society of Quetta Press Club, Balochistan. Renowned writer, historian and ex-Police Officer Mr. Havi Azam critically evaluated the coloumns written by his fellow police officer. Prof Shagufta Iqbal, Principal Girls Degree College, Quetta lauded the touches of delicate and tender feelings in Fasihuddin’s coloumns and his concern and commitment to women’s rights. Senior coloumnist and analyst, Mr. Amanullah Shadezai evaluated the mystical aspects of Fasihuddin’s coloumns on spirituality and his esoteric experiences. Syed Naveed Hashmi, the General Secretary of Quetta Writers Forum and Editor-in-Chief, Harf, dilated at length on the value and research-based utility of Khama-Bajosh in the wake of current national crisis in administration and international geo-politics in the region and its implications for Pakistan’s peace and security. The President Quetta Press Club, Mr. Raza ur Rehman spoke about the role of journalism and media-police relations and lauded Fasihuddin’s contribution to Urdu literature and police-media coordination. Mr. Agha Gul lauded the book for its profound insight, variety of subjects, multi-dimensional aspects, its literary value and its simple, refined and poetic way of expression. Mr. Noor Mohammad Khan, Director General Public Relations, explained the metaphysical and linguistic beauty of the book and its style and message to the new generation. Secretary Information Mr. Qamar Masood and Secretary Agriculture Mr. Khuda-e-Rahim also spoke on the occasion and commented on the hardships of a civil servant who is also committed to intellectual pursuits and research. The author thanked all the organizations and societies who arranged the beautiful gathering and for the warm-reception and traditional hospitality of Balochistan.
